It’s a new week, and it’s time to start it off with a unique writing prompt. This week’s post once again comes from 100 Paranormal Fantasy Writing Prompts Posted on February 28, 2024, and is:

Prompt

Your late grandmother leaves you her oddly-shaped brass key which unlocks doors to hidden magical realms.

Prompt Results

It did it again. I’d tried it three times, and each time I found myself in a different realm with hidden magical creatures. Once I had to leave the first realm, I promised myself I’d come back and explore, but when I used the oddly oblong-shaped brass key grandma left me, it took me to a different area. At first, I thought it was just a different area of the place I’d been earlier, but after exploring for about half an hour, I realized the area held no attributes of the other location. There was no snow, no frozen water, no ice-covered trees, or little knobby-headed creatures climbing the ice-covered trees with magical wands hanging from their hips. Instead, the second place I found myself held five large moons, lush, bushy trees, and a huge waterfall with frothy water, and behind the waterfall sat a huge eel-like snake with two sharp fangs that blazed red.
