The Sun Rises Over Charles – Chapter 16 – Daro

Chapter 16 – Daro

“I am not going to.” I tugged Charles into my arms, burring my lips into the crook of his neck. “He is as much mine as I am his. He will bear my mark by the end of tonight.” The words seemed to please Charles, because he hummed against me, as he rubbed his head against mine. “Let’s take care of Jazz and Darren.”

“Darren, will be locked up,” Charles spoke in such a tone that my body shivered from unease. “He tried to turn the entire situation on you. Until we are sure things are on the right path, your chosen path, baby, we are not risking him doing so again.”

“How will we lock him away. I have no jails. Father will ask questions if you lock him away.” Charles smiled, causing my cock to jerk and elongate, doubling in size. “You have something in mind, sweetheart?”

“I have loads of pull inside the jails.” He pointed at Jazz. “As for you, you will be watched closely by me. If you so much as take one wrong breath, I will personally kill you. We clear?”

I wasn’t so sure how I felt about the killing aspect, but my man knew what it’d take to get me to the end point of my goal. Our goal.

“Jazz, you best sufficiently answer him.”

“I will. I promise.”

“Then so be it.” I reached down behind him and untied his hands. “Get out of here, use the tunnels so no one sees you. Speak to no one.”

He jumped up and rushed to the main door. opening it a tiny bit, peeking through the crack, then slipped out and down to the large frame that led to the tunnel he used to maneuver the hallways.

“How will we get him to the jail, sweetheart?”

“The tunnels.”

“There are none that lead to them.”

“There is,” he yanked Darren up by the arms, pushing him toward the dresser at the foot of my bed. “You did not know about the one in your room?”

“No. How did you?”

“I know all the tunnels in this place. Grew up exploring them.” He pushed the wall, and it swung open. “I’ll be back in a few minutes.”

The tunnel door swung shut as soon as he and Darrel disappeared inside, leaving me standing there watching like a moron. After a few minutes, I went over to the mirror and stared at the mating mark on my neck. It was pronounced and stood out like a beacon. There’d be no hiding it once I went to see my father. He’d see it the moment I walked into the throne room. I’d have to send him a request to see him alone, without anyone other than Sire Charles. Let him see that we were both marks at the same time. He would be pissed, but I could handle him when it came down to it. I held a hand over him if he wanted me to stay and take over for him. Mom left me an out when she agreed to give him a child. Thank goodness for that. it would come in handy.

Arms wrapped around my waist, and lips pressed against my mark as a head full of luscious hair came into view.

“Sweetheart,” I turned in Charles’s arms, letting him run feather kisses up my neck, “did not hear you come back in.”

“You were admiring your new accessory. Are you upset with me?”

“Not by any means.” I kissed him deeply as I tugged him closer to me. We stayed that way until we had to break to breathe. “Now, you are going to wear mine. Ready?”

“More than, baby.” He took hold of my hand and led me over to the bed, laying flat on his back, tugging me down on top of him. “Make me yours, my husband.”
